SMS Privacy and Use Statements

Opt-In

VisionLink will offer three options for individuals to opt-in to receiving SMS text messages from VisionLink:

  1. The webform currently used for newsletter sign ups. We will add an option to opt in to SMS messaging with links to our Terms of Use and Privacy Statement.
  2. As part of the intake process. Clients will be provided with the Terms of Use and Privacy Statement and will sign a form to opt in as part of the intake process.
  3. Text to opt in. Clients will be able to text START to the number and will then be registered to receive SMS messages.

Consenting to Text Messaging

By consenting to receive text messages from us, you agree to these SMS Terms of Use and Privacy Statement below, as well as our Community Guidelines for Personal Conduct, incorporated herein by reference.

SMS Terms of Use

  1. We use SMS text messaging to send client alerts, reminders, timely notices about building closures and weather delays, and marketing materials about upcoming events.
  2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to our number. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
  3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance or you can get help directly at clientservices@visionlinkphl.org or 215-627-0600.
  4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  5. The number of text messages you receive will vary depending on how you use our services and whether you take steps to generate more text messages from us (such as by sending a HELP request).
  6. As always, normal message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider directly.
  7. If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our privacy statement below.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Nonetheless, we reserve the right always to disclose any information necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property.

VisionLink will never request sensitive information be sent via SMS message and will never transmit sensitive information via SMS message. Sensitive information includes, but is not limited to:

You may opt-out of text messaging at any time by replying to any message with STOP or by contacting us at clientservices@visionlinkphl.org. This will end the communications from that particular phone number. You may continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing text messages from other phone numbers managed by VisionLink, and you may opt out of those in a similar fashion.
