Strengthen connections for your patients—and your organization.

VisionLink is a trusted partner in providing supportive connections for adults with vision loss.

VisionLink’s programs are designed to benefit the overall quality of life for your patients and clients. If you are a medical services provider, social worker, case manager, or other social services provider who is working with clients or patients with vision loss, we can provide important non-clinical support and training to aid their transition to new diagnoses or strengthen their skills and experiences.

VisionLink also offers educational sessions designed to provide professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to improve support for adults with vision loss.

“For patients, there’s that one place that they can go to where they can get the resources that they need. Everybody’s needs are so specific that I don’t have them at the tip of my fingers right away. VisionLink will.”

-Ranjoo Prasad, O.D.

Refer a Client or Patient

VisionLink is at the center of the continuum of care for individuals experiencing vision loss. We work with healthcare providers, social service agencies, and community organizations to connect clients with the tools, training, and support they need to maintain their independence and quality of life.

When you refer a client or patient, they can:

  • Gain confidence and skills to navigate daily activities safely and independently.
  • Build social connections and reduce isolation through peer support and community programs.
  • Access resources and assistive technology for home management, mobility, and transportation.

We have the expertise, resources, and community partnerships to make a meaningful difference for your clients, helping them stay engaged, active, and empowered in everyday life.

Provider Education and Training

VisionLink’s Provider Education Program is designed to help healthcare organizations, home health agencies, senior centers, long-term care facilities and other caregivers develop the skills to better serve people with vision loss. We can work with your organization to tailor educational and skill development practices to help increase service capacity, broaden informed care activities, and create a continuum of support to allow individuals with vision loss to live independently, thrive in the workforce, and participate in meaningful community activities.

We begin with a Provider Pre-Assessment to evaluate your organization’s current support needs and review the range of available training options. Through a continued educational partnership, we employ interactive learning methods including demonstrations and hands-on practice sessions to ensure maximum engagement and retention of information. We also provide ongoing support and resources to reinforce learning and encourage continuous improvement.

VisionLink offers a comprehensive curriculum of competency-based trainings within four distinct categories:

  • General Training on Low Vision and Blindness: Covers practical strategies to make your organization more accessible, welcoming, and responsive to the needs of individuals with vision loss.
  • Empowering Independence: Training in daily living and home management skills
  • Enhancing Independence: Training in assistive technology for vision loss
  • Developing Accessible Communication Practices: Training in accessible communication, assistive technology integration, and alternative formats and assessments, with practical guidance to identify and address accessibility barriers and improve usability across digital and printed materials.
