Dear Members of the ASB Community:
While there certainly have been plenty of challenges for all of us during this past year due to the pandemic, it has been uplifting for our team that so many of you stayed connected with ASB and each other through our online learning programs and activities. We are pleased that our remote services have also allowed many others to access ASB resources for the first time. Like many organizations, we have learned that online programs and tools can help extend ASB’s services to more individuals, wherever you are, and we will continue building on that in the months to come.
In light of the high engagement with our online programs, we will continue our remote-first, online programming throughout the summer, adding new offerings during that time. We will keep our offices closed through Labor Day and will keep you updated as the date gets closer. In addition, this extended closure is intended to allow ample time for people to become fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
As we plan our return to select in-person services in the fall, we will keep you informed on which programs and training sessions will continue to be offered online, which will be in the community at our partners’ and other locations, and which will be offered at our facilities in Center City Philadelphia.
When we do return to in-person programming, we will require documented proof of vaccination to ensure the safety of both participants and staff. This documentation will be required to access ASB’s facilities and prior to scheduling anyone to attend on-site or community-based training or activities. Please note that if you are not able or decide not to become fully vaccinated, our online training and activities will continue to be available to you. This policy seeks to create as safe a physical environment as possible to mitigate potential transmission of the coronavirus.
If you have any specific questions about ASB programs and activities, please reach out to Alexis Jones, Manager of Participant Engagement and Outreach, at ajones@asb.org or 267-483-9244.
Wishing you a happy, healthy, safe, and fulfilling summer!
