TODAY: Online Shopping with Accessibility in Mind

Get ready for the holidays with tips and techniques for making online shopping more accessible. The New York Public Library is hosting an online event that will cover comparison-shopping on Amazon and Google Shopping, navigating shopping sites with varying levels of accessibility, and where to find accessible products. FRIDAY: AARP NY Game Show Series – December’s Topic is Fraud

SATURDAY: NYC Violin Studio’s Winter Concert

The NYC Violin Studio’s Winter Concert will include solos, duets and group performances, played live together for the first time in more than a year! DECEMBER 13: Accessible Origami Online

Join the New York Public Library online as it uses verbal descriptions to help you make origami models from home! No experience is required, but you’ll need standard notebook paper or origami paper. Use the Zoom link above to join on December 13.


DECEMBER 15: Family Forum with Vision for Equality of Philadelphia

DECEMBER 11: Butters and Brunch Christmas Pop-Up Shop

Stop by this event to soak up the Christmas spirit while also supporting local businesses! This free, in-person event will take place at the Our House Cultural Center, located at 6380 Germantown Avenue and will feature both food and shopping vendors. To attend this event, participants must register with the link above for free. 


DECEMBER 13: Five Christmases with Charles Dickens

Date: Monday, December 13 at 7 p.m.

The Rare Book Department of the Free Library of Philadelphia is inviting individuals to celebrate Five Christmases with Dickens! This free event will feature rarely seen, one-of-a-kind works connected to Christmas and Charles Dickens. Some of the works that will be mentioned include “A Christmas Carol,” “The Chimes,” “The Cricket On The Hearth” and more! For this event, you must register before attending, as there is a limited number of spots per the COVID-19 protocol.


DECEMBER 18: Philly Christmas Walk 

Date: Saturday, December 18 from 2 – 7:30 p.m.
